Rev. Jean Bosco Iteriteka

Pioneer Pastor

Rev. Jean Bosco Iteriteka serves as the Pioneer Pastor of True Vine Church, providing pastoral and spiritual leadership through the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word, disciple-making, pastoral care, leadership development, and church planting. He is passionate about glorifying God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping servant leaders, and cultivating healthy, Christ-centered churches that faithfully reflect Christ in their communities and beyond.
His ministry is anchored in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, the centrality of the Gospel, intentional discipleship, servant leadership, and the mission of making disciples of all nations. He believes that healthy churches are built through faithful biblical preaching, Christ-centered discipleship, biblical eldership, and humble leaders who depend upon the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Jean Bosco came to personal faith in Jesus Christ in 2001, and from the earliest days of his Christian walk developed a deep passion for evangelism and disciple-making. He faithfully shared the Gospel in neighborhoods, marketplaces, schools, and public spaces throughout Burundi, later extending his ministry into neighboring Rwanda. These formative years shaped his lifelong conviction that the Church must intentionally go beyond its walls to proclaim Christ and make disciples.
Prior to pioneering True Vine Church, Rev. Jean Bosco served with Harvest Initiatives as a Ministry Club Leader and Coach, where he trained and mentored leaders while supporting evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development across several provinces of Burundi. Through this ministry, God deepened his calling to strengthen local churches by equipping faithful men and women to lead and disciple others.
In response to God’s leading and with the commissioning of his local church, Rev. Jean Bosco pioneered a home-based discipleship fellowship in December 2019. Rooted in prayer, faithful exposition of Scripture, authentic Christian fellowship, and intentional disciple-making, the fellowship grew steadily and was formally established as True Vine Church on January 3, 2021. Since then, he has served as its Pioneer Pastor, leading the church in its mission to proclaim Christ, make disciples, equip servant leaders, and plant healthy, Gospel-centered churches.
Beyond his pastoral ministry, Rev. Jean Bosco serves churches, ministries, faith-based organizations, and community leaders as a Leadership Trainer, Executive Coach, and Organizational Development Practitioner. He equips leaders in servant leadership, church governance, organizational development, strategic planning, mentoring, coaching, leadership multiplication, and sustainable ministry practices. As a Certified World Servant Leader Trainer of Trainers, he has facilitated numerous leadership conferences, seminars, workshops, and coaching initiatives that have strengthened churches and developed Christ-centered leaders throughout Burundi.
