On Sunday, 02 March 2025, True Vine Church experienced a deeply significant and joy-filled gathering marked by unity, gratitude, and the evident move of God among His people. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of the early Church as described in the book of Acts—where believers gathered in one accord, devoted themselves to fellowship, and witnessed the ongoing work of God in their midst.
It was not an ordinary Sunday service, but a milestone moment in the journey of the church, bringing together members, friends, and visitors in a powerful expression of faith, community, and thanksgiving. The day carried a strong sense of divine purpose and was centered around three major highlights that defined its spiritual significance.
- A Historic First Gathering on the New Church Land
One of the most defining moments of the day was our very first gathering on the newly acquired land entrusted to True Vine Church Burundi. This was more than a physical relocation,it was a prophetic and faith-filled step into a new season.
As the church family stood together on that ground, there was a deep awareness that God is the One who establishes His people and enlarges their territory according to His perfect will. Hearts were filled with gratitude as we reflected on His faithfulness and looked forward with expectation to what He is preparing for us in that place.
This moment symbolized foundation, growth, and future expansion—an altar of remembrance and a declaration of faith for generations to come. - New Year Blessings and the Expression of One Family in Christ
The day also provided a precious opportunity for the church family to speak blessings over one another as we stepped into a new season together. It was a moment filled with warmth, love, and spiritual unity.
We prayed for peace, grace, strength, and divine guidance over every member and every family. In this, we expressed the reality that the Church is not merely an institution, but a living family bound together in Christ.
This moment reflected the heart of the early believers who were described as being “of one heart and one soul,” sharing life together in simplicity, sincerity, and love.
It was a reminder that growth in the Kingdom is not only numerical or structural, but deeply relational,built on love, honor, and shared spiritual purpose. - Strengthening the Foundation: First Principles of Christian Faith
A key highlight of the day was the celebration and certification of believers who completed teaching in the First Principles of Christian Faith, a foundational discipleship journey supported by Antioch Foundation Burundi.
This milestone represented more than completion of a program, it marked the strengthening of spiritual foundations in the lives of believers. It was a testimony of commitment to the Word of God and to spiritual maturity.
Through this teaching, believers have been grounded in essential truths of the Christian faith, equipped to grow in stability, understanding, and discernment, and prepared to live out their faith with conviction and clarity.
It was a joyful moment for the entire church family as we recognized growth not only in attendance, but in depth of faith and understanding.
A Church Walking in the Pattern of Acts
Throughout the day, the atmosphere was filled with worship, thanksgiving, fellowship, and a strong sense of unity. We were reminded of the early Church in Acts 2:47:
“Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
We also stood on the promise of Ephesians 3:20–21:
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
This gathering was a living testimony that God is actively building His Church,establishing His people, opening new seasons, and deepening the foundation of faith among us.
Looking Forward
As a church, we move forward with deep gratitude, renewed faith, and strong expectation. What we witnessed is only the beginning of greater things God is preparing for His people.
We remain committed to growing in unity, in the Word, in fellowship, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, believing that the One who has begun this good work among us will faithfully complete it.
